High Impact Polystyrene
(HIPS) - contains rubber (Butadiene) contents of
5 to 10% is particularly useful in the manufacture
of parts which require a high degree of impact resistance.
HIPS has superior impact resistance property of
Butadiene, Rubber but transparency is not better
than GPPS.
Overview / Description:
DIAMOND HI-800F, HI-800, HI-850, HI-850R, HI-851, HI-860 & HI-861 are High Impact Polystyrene having good gloss and stress cracking resistant (Refrigeration Grade).
Characteristics:
- HI-800F -- Medium impact, standard flow, good gloss, low volatility (below 500 ppm), stress cracking resistant, injection grade.
- HI-800 -- Medium impact, standard flow, good gloss, low volatility (below 1000 ppm), stress cracking resistant, injection grade.
- HI-850 -- High impact, standard flow, good gloss, extreme low volatility (below 1000 ppm), stress cracking resistant, injection grade.
- HI-850R -- Excellent impact, heat resistant, good gloss, low volatility (below 1000 ppm), stress cracking resistant, injection grade.
- HI-851 -- High impact, heat resistant, extreme low volatility (below 1000 ppm), stress cracking resistant, injection grade.
- HI-860 -- High impact, standard flow, good gloss, low volatility, stress cracking resistant, injection grade.
- HI-861 -- High impact, good gloss, low volatility, stress cracking resistant, extrusion grade.
